| Album Info: | Hello, folks! Went to the Orphan Train Museum today, located in Concordia, which is in the middle of nowhere in Kansas. It's a bit out of the way, but when you get there, you'll find neat exhibits detailing the history of a program that brought poor orphans from the slums of eastern cities to caring families in the midwest. One young orphan who rode the train, Robert Summers, grew up to help build the Rock Island Depot in Chickasha, Oklahoma; he must've done a good job on it, because it's still standing today! This place is definitely worth a visit if you ever get out here; enjoy the photos! |
