Album Info:In 2009, Spanish high-speed train manufacturer Talgo established a plant at the former A.O. Smith site in Milwaukee to build trains for the anticipated expansion of the Hiawatha passenger service between Chicago, Milwaukee and Madison. With the election of Scott Walker in 2010, the state rejected the federal funding for the rail project and Talgo will close up shop after the two "Badger" trains are sold to other states. The plant also constructed two trains that were ordered by the state of Oregon to replaced older Talgo Series 6 trains on the Amtrak Cascades service.
