Title:
KCS 4117
Description:
Back in 1984 transfer runs from the Kansas City Southern to the New Orleans Public Belt typically had 10-20 cars and were handled by a switch engine; but today the train had 40 loaded C&NW hoppers behind the 12 cars of mixed freight, so the railroad used one of the GP30's which were assigned to New Orleans for local work. The train is on the NOPB at Walnut Street.
