Partial Caption: "K-4 Pacific No. 3746, an Altoona alumnus of the class of 1920, gets into her stride eight miles north of Harrisburg at Dauphin, Pa., on the way to Buffalo." Photo by Donald W. Furler. Pennsylvania Railroad engine #3746 is a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during March of 1920 and retired in November of 1948 after 28 years of faithful service. |
