Good looking 4-6-0 ten wheeler built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in 1913 for the Canadian National as their #1397. Specs - Serial #52592, class H-6-g, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 20x26" cylinders, engine weight of 173,000 lb, tractive effort of 28,063 lb. The loco was scrapped in october of 1961. No date, location or photographer was listed for this photo but Bruce Gemmel located the photo info. It was taken by Rob Sandusky on October 13, 1952. Ian Wilson noted that #1397 has just left the moving its mixed train to the station to board express and passengers for Beeton on the infamous Alliston Subdivision, "20 mph forward, 20 mph side up and down."
