CSX 6224 on CSSE |
Description: |
The CSX units are still foreign power but foreshadow things to come as CSX 6224, CSX 7630 and Conrail 6241 are on CSSE at Ridgefield Park, NJ 1/1999. After May, the CSX power will be company property and the CR 6241 would go to NS as their 8426. CSSE and SECS usually had CSX GP40-2s or B36-7s in the lead because of the cab signals on the RF&P. CSX would finally switch the RF&P cab signals to be compatible with the Conrail cab signal equipment after the split after which SD60Ms and SD60Is would become common on Q-409/Q-410 and Q438/Q-439. |
