Description:  Here is page five of a 15-page cover article by Frederick Westing entitled "This Is The Story Of A Pacific ~ The World's Greatest." It was published originally in the August 1956 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 48. Top Photo: Shown here is PRR engine #1067, an E-6S (4-4-2) "Atlantic" built in Juniata as an E-6 and numbered "5075"during 1910, renumbered "1067" in December of 1911, rebuilt as an E-6S in 1913, and retired in June of 1950. Second Photo Down: Shown here is PRR engine #8656, a K-3S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during 1913 and retired in July of 1947. Third Photo Down: Shown here is PRR engine #868, an L-1S (2-8-2) "Mikado" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1917 and retired in January of 1950. Bottom Photo: Shown here is PRR engine #5698, a K-5 (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during 1929 and retired in October of 1950 after just 21 years of active service.
