UP Mobile Lab #210
Title:  UP Mobile Lab #210
Description:  Interesting car with a varied history. Originally in 1930 by Pullman as sleeper "Balsam Fir", 1 of 13 such sleepers built and 4 were acquired by UP at the 12/31/1948 Pullman divestiture. In 1962, the BALSAM FIR was withdrawn from Pullman lease, and in 1963 was rebuilt to dynamometer #903001. In 1964, the #903001 was modified to mobile laboratory #210. The #210 was later stored at Council Bluffs and then at Cheyenne before being upgraded and placed back into service; the car was outshopped in April 2013 and repainted in May; it was also assigned an Amtrak #800847. Exact date and location as well as photographer were not given for the photo.

UP 210
Title:  UP 210
Description:  A dynamometer car, there's not too many surviving examples left of these. Again, I'd like to know where UP unearths some of the stuff that shows up in Cheyenne. The 210 is another one of those things that just shouldn't be on the UP, yet there it is.
