| Pennsylvania Railroad E8 5802 at Englewood Union Station on the south side of Chicago, Illinois on April 11, 1965, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. This locomotive was built in July 1952 (c/n 15666) on EMD Order 6354, later it became PC 4281, then Amtrak 289. It is seen here westbound at Englewood Union Station. While it was not much as Union Stations go, it was the only one I know that hosted both the PRR's Broadway Limited and the NYC's 20th Century Limited, as well as the Rock Island's Rockets. |
