Built in July 1952 as CRI&P GP7 1254, it was sold to Precision National and rebuilt to GP7R 4426 and leased back to the Rock Island. When the RI folded in 1980, this locomotive was sold by PNC to the C&NW, becoming 4180. For the record, the trailing unit is 4500. |
