Built in November 1953 as B&O SD7 763 (c/n 18685) on EMD Order 5303, it was renumbered to B&O 7403 during early 1957, then renumbered to B&O 1829 during June 1964, assigned CSXT 9703 sometime after April 30, 1987 but not renumbered, retired by CSX July 29, 1987, sold to Steel Processing Corporation in Albertville, Alabama, shipped from there to Montana Rail Link on March 30, 1988, rebuilt by Livingston Rebuild Center, Livingston, Montana, outshopped February 28, 1990 as SD9u becoming BN 6245 (second), then BNSF 6144, then BNSF 1725, and retired from the BNSF in July 2008. |
