SP 7300
With Mt. McLoughlin in the background, a short eastbound SP freight with a fill of wood chips first out ascended the grade between Chiloquin and Kirk, OR. SP 7300 was later ICE 6447, HLCX 6333. The light-colored ground cover is Mazama ash, deposited by the volcanic eruption which formed nearby Crater Lake. Date approximate.
