In 2004, the feed mill and primary customer on the Wiregrass Central is worked by usual power of the time. The ex SP GP sports a gray version paint used on a very few units before the black was made the official colors.         
The train actually split its power, leaving these in the lead and used a fourth GP38 to pull the cars past the loader so these three could couple up to the end and shove the cuts into the loading cover. A neat way to reverse power on a train without a siding was this novel move.
