| Spokane International RS1 1213 at Denver, Colorado on August 26, 1965, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Not much doubt about who owns Spokane International. This Alco RS1 was built in September 1949 as SI 202 (c/n 77168), acquired by the UP on October 6, 1958. It was leased by the UP, repainted and renumbered into the UP system roster. It had a turbocharged six cylinder McIntosh & Seymour model 539 diesel prime mover, producing 1000 horsepower. It was traded to EMD on October 9, 1969. |
