To understand the photo, this location sits on a blind curve, complete with a road crossing, at the base of Pine Mountain. The signals are sharply angled so that crews can clearly see the aspects as they exit the near 90 degree curve. The train is on the main and is governed by the single aspect signal while the double-aspect on the left replaced a long-ago retired "dwarf" signal |
