| On the KCS, where I see most of the coal trains I encounter, its unusual to see three units trailing. Here on the BNSF Thayer Sub, the old Frisco to Memphis through the Ozarks, its fairly common to see a 2x3 power set. This is the rear on a 135 car eastbound coal train. These units will get a real workout in another hour or so. |
