Derailment. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad trains in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 21 May 1965. Shown here on the right is the "western" work train and steam-powered crane that are rerailing the derailed cars and locomotives of the eastbound freight train on the next track over. Visible in the immediate foreground is the top of PRR engine #8663, an AS-18AM built by the American Locomotive Company in 1958 and rated at 1,800 horsepower.
