Here is MEC #109 a 4-6-0 working the interchange yard between MECs back road and the Sumerset Branch at Oakland. These photos comes from the Stillings Collection and are dated August 1st 1920. #109 was built in October of 1906 by Alco and came to the MEC from the Somerset in 1911. It began operation as Somerset #12 before it was renumbered to Somerset #23 in 1907. A class G on the MEC (18x24-55inch) it was scrapped in 1925. /DL |
