Photo Caption: "Baldwin RF-16 #2012, 1600-hp, at Toledo, Ohio." Shown here (L to R) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #2012 and another "Shark" whose road number is not recorded. #2012 is a BF-16 built by Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton in February of 1952, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and retired in January of 1969 after just 15 years of revenue service. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Diesels On The Pennsylvania" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (819-23). |
