L&N GLEN TORRIDON
Louisville & Nashville sleeper GLEN TORRIDON was photographed at New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal on 21 November 1962, just five months before it was withdrawn from revenue service. It was a Plan 3523F car with all deluxe accommodations (six drawing rooms and three compartments) and was the only car of this plan acquired by the L&N in 1948. It had been placed in service by Pullman on 3 September 1926, was transferred to the L&N on 31 December 1948, withdrawn from Pullman lease in March 1963 and redesignated as dormitory car 1622.
