MDiv. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken near Duncannon, Pennsylvania, on 7 November 1956. The photographer is not identified. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6840, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during September of 1926 and retired in June of 1959 after 33 years of faithful service. It's pulling a fully-loaded mineral train out of Altoona and the mines of Western Pennsylvania. ("Stoneborobranch"; #26 of 56) |
