Here is a photo by J.S. Rice that was taken in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, during December of 1957. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #920 and several others whose road numbers are not recorded. #920 is a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during July of 1917 and retired in 1959 after 42 years of faithful service. Note that their main rods have been removed, so they've been prepared for movement to the recycling center. ("JpsPcc6992" A; #3 of 6) |
