On the crossing  Contributor's Pick!
I was at home working on some project or another when I heard a horn, which sounded like it was coming from a northbound. I got myself organized and out, thinking where I might shoot a northbound in the middle of the day with its unfavorable sun angle. I settled on Davidson Rd, since it gives a good side angle. Then I saw the train, an empty 124 car TXUX coal train, with six units up front. There was no way I was going to capture the whole power consist, never mind any train, so I went for the lights, in this case, crossing flashers, as the head end crossed over Davidson Rd.
