Portraits 8. Here is a steam locomotive portrait of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1052, a D-16D (4-4-0) "American" built in the Altoona Machine Shops during February of 1902, rebuilt as a D-16B in April of 1913, rebuilt as a D-16SB in October of 1918, and retired in February of 1930 after 28 years of faithful service. The photographer's name is not recorded. (#7 of 24)
