C&O Boxcar 15698         
Chesapeake & Ohio 40-foot, 50-ton boxcar C&O 15698 was in the Louisville & Nashville’s WEST SIDING at Pascagoula, Mississippi on 19 May 1958. This was from an order for 1,000 cars (15000-15999) built by Pullman-Standard in 1948. The car had a CAPY of 100,000 pounds, a LD LMT of 125,400 pounds and a LT WT of 43,600 pounds, for a gross rail load of 169,000 pounds. It has been built in March 1948 and was last weighed at the railroad’s car shops in Raceland, Kentucky in September 1957.
