The car had a CAPY of 100,000 pounds, at LD LMT of 122,800 pounds and a LT WT of 46,200 pounds for a gross rail load of 169,000 pounds. It had been built in the railroad’s shops at Centralia, Illinois in July 1946 as one of 500 cars in the 29000-29499 series. Notice that the journal box lid is open at the far left end of the car. |
