PRR Box Car 602219         
Pennsylvania Railroad 40-foot, 50-ton box car PRR 602219 was in the Louisville & Nashville’s WEST SIDING in Pascagoula, Mississippi on 19 May 1958. This car had a CAPY of 100,000 pounds, a LD LMT of 123,400 pounds and a LT TW of 45,600 pounds, for a gross rail load of 169,000 pounds. It was one of 1500 X-43a class cars in the 602000-603499 series that was built under American Car & Foundry Lot No. 3476 between December 1950 and February 1951. All 4,000 cars in the 600000-603999 series had a 6" white triangle above the car number which designated them for segregated maintenance. The cars were leased from the Chicago Car Co. and all maintenance costs were charged back to Chicago Car Co. This car was assigned Penn Central number 120165.
