PRR 601, D-11A, c. 1890
iLocomotives. Here is an image that was taken at the Passenger Station in Dunbar, Pennsylvania. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #601, a D-11A (4-4-0) "American" built in the Altoona Machine Shops during July of 1886 and retired in July of 1907 after 21 years of faithful service. Given the presence of all those folks gathered at the Station, this may have been a special occasion of some sort. The photographer's name and the exact date are not recorded.
