Parked in the shadow of the Dubuque IA water tower is Milwaukee Road 2-8-2 Mikado #409. Built by Baldwin in September of 1922 as MILW #8309, it was later renumbered in June of 1938 to MILW 409. The loco eventually was sent to the scrappers torch in November of 1954 after nearly 32 years of service.
