Description:
Here is the first Burnham, Wms & Co (Baldwin predecessor) 4-6-2 built for the Frisco in March of 1904, a month after the very first Pacific delivered by Alco Brooks to the railroad. Specs - serial #23744, class 1010, 69" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 20x26" cylinders, engine weight of 191,000 lb, tractive effort of 25,623 lb. The photo is from the Harold K. Vollrath collection.
