Title:
PRR 8051, BS-10AS, 1957
Description:
Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Pemberton, New Jersey on 27 August 1957. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8051, a BS-10AS built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as number "5591" in March of 1950, rated at 1,000 horsepower, and renumbered "8051" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger. Note the air horn on the roof of P-70 Cab Car #1046, perhaps indicating some sort of push-pull operation from and to Pemberton. ("LouisFols"; #11 of 37)
