Trenton. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken in Trenton, New Jersey, on 9 May 1953. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5240, an H-9S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as number "3607" during November of 1913, renumbered "5240" in 1915, and retired in June of 1954 after 41 years of faithful service. The photographer's name and the numbers of the other two locomotives pictured are not recorded. ("Stoneborobranch"; #4 of 19) |
