Description:
New Orleans Public Service car 909 was stopped at Lopez Street on the
CANAL LINE
. Car 909 had been built by the Perley A. Thomas Car Works in 1923 and was scrapped in June 1964, right after buses replaced streetcars on this line. The building visible on the other side of the car was Warren Easton High School, at 3019 Canal Street.
