Skunked on the mountain
Description:
An opportunity to drive over Steven's Pass and watch BNSF operations took a turn to the south due to the weather, gray and rainy, and the fact the road had closed the line for most of the day for a maintenance blitz, with only MOW trains operating. BNSF 6995 is shown here leading a ballast train at Gold Bar while a train-load of new concrete ties waits for its call on the adjacent track.
