| This is Effner, Illinois, Pop 64, the historical east end of the TP&W and where it interchanged with the Pennsy/PC until 1976, when the road bought the line through to Logansport. This view looks east into Indiana. The depot still stands but the elevator appears unused and the siding and small yard have been pulled up. The image could fit a lot of small towns throughout the region. |
