SRS. Here is an original telephoto view that I took of the Pennsylvania Railroad's Samuel Rea Shop in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 17 October 1965. Shown here (R to L) are the Cumberland/Bedford Secondary Track, the former Eastbound Receiving Yard, the Samuel Rea Shop, as well as the venerable wooden water tower ~ the last vestige of the Age of Steam in Hollidaysburg. Further out, that's Bald Hill on the left; Locke Mountain dominates the distance. This easterly view taken from the southern end of the Union Street Bridge. |
